Poland’s central bank this week revised downward its GDP growth forecasts for the country amid the war in Ukraine and an energy crisis in Europe. It now expects the Polish economy to expand 4.6 percent this year, followed by 0.7 percent growth in 2023.

Meanwhile, inflation is projected to stand at 14.5 percent this year, followed by 13.1 percent in 2023 and 5.9 percent in 2024, the National Bank of Poland (NBP) said in its latest Inflation Report, which was released on Monday.

Inflation in Poland hit 17.9 percent last month, according to an estimate by the country’s statistics office.
